The present church was built in 1987, incorporating the structure of Nol's older mission house (missionshus) as its basic framework. The design was the work of architect Kjell Malmqvist, giving the building a relatively modern character compared with many of Sweden's older parish churches.
Inside, the chancel windows feature a glass mosaic by the artist Roland Andersson of Alingsås, which forms one of the church's most distinctive visual features. The church bell was cast at the Bergholtz foundry in Sigtuna, a bell-founder associated with numerous Swedish churches.
The textiles used within the church were woven by Christina Westman of Gothenburg, contributing a handcrafted element to the otherwise contemporary interior.
The church's organ has an interesting history: an eight-stop, two-manual instrument built by the Danish firm Marcussen & Søn was acquired in 1989 from Kungsholmen upper secondary school in Stockholm. It was later sold on in 1999 to the Diocese of Skara, and replaced with a digital organ of the Ahlborn make.
