Längbro kyrka stands in western Örebro, close to the Karlslund woods yet within easy reach of the city. Consecrated in 1901, this brick church seats around 300 and serves as the parish church of Längbro.

The present building replaced a much older church, first recorded in a papal letter of 1314, which once stood in what is now the Norr district of Örebro. That earlier church fell into disuse or was demolished during the 1500s, and for centuries afterwards the parishioners of Längbro worshipped in a side building attached to Sankt Nicolai church, popularly nicknamed "Bonnakurn".

As Örebro expanded in the late nineteenth century, Längbro parish was given its own status in 1876, and after lengthy discussion a site near Karlslund manor was chosen in 1896 - the new building was initially known as Karlslund church. It was designed by the city architect Magnus Dahlander, built from brick supplied by the Marks brickworks with a slate roof from Grythyttan, and consecrated on 6 October 1901.

Inside, the chancel draws the eye, with its 1967 altar beneath a ceiling painted with three scenes by Sven-Bertil Svensson depicting the Virgin Mary, Christ and John the Baptist, added during a major renovation in 1982. Four leaded chancel windows from 1901 show episodes from the life of Christ, and the altar cross dates from 1968. The star-strewn blue ceiling of the nave is a distinctive decorative touch.

Among the furnishings is a font of 1935, made by the Yxhult stone works, whose base was later altered. A stained-glass window behind the gallery organ, made in Munich in 1956, depicts Saint Cecilia, patron of church music. Two smaller galleries on either side of the nave are named Eker and Ånsta, after the neighbouring parishes united with Längbro.

The church has had a sequence of organs by the Örebro firm E. A. Setterquist & Son, the first installed in 1901 and rebuilt in 1935 incorporating older material, alongside a smaller chancel organ added in 1982. The surrounding churchyard, consecrated in 1898, has the character of a woodland cemetery, with tall pines, a clipped spruce hedge and a memorial grove added in 1995.
