Hönö kyrka stands on the island of Hönö in Öckerö kommun, on Sweden's west coast. Built in the 1930s through voluntary effort and locally raised funds, it remains the parish church of Öckerö församling within the Church of Sweden.

The church was raised in 1933–34 to designs by the architect Sigfrid Ericson, following the formation of the Hönö chapel foundation in 1929. It is a timber building, its exterior clad in white-painted standing panels, giving it a plain but distinctive coastal appearance. The rectangular nave and narrower, straight-ended chancel to the east are both covered by barrel-vaulted timber panel ceilings, a feature that lends the interior a sense of enclosed warmth.

At the western end rises a short, sturdy tower with a copper-clad roof and tall spire, its ground floor doubling as the entrance porch. A sacristy adjoins the north wall of the chancel, and parish rooms were added to the south of the tower in 1962, linking the church to later community facilities.

Inside, the barrel-vaulted, whitewashed interior has been little altered since the church was built, retaining a simple, baroque-influenced character from the 1930s. The most striking feature is the artistic decoration by Kristian Lundstedt, including a monumental altar cabinet; the altarpiece depicts Jesus with outstretched, welcoming hands and children at his side, a warm and approachable image for a church built with such communal effort.

The organ in the gallery dates from 1980, built by Tostareds Kyrkorgelfabrik, replacing an earlier instrument from around 1940, some of whose pipework was reused in the new organ.
