Herråkra kyrka is a wooden parish church in the village of Herråkra, Kronoberg county, part of Lenhovda-Herråkra församling in the Diocese of Växjö. It stands on a site with a much older church history, though the present building dates from the early nineteenth century.

An earlier church stood on this site as far back as the 1600s. The current timber church was built in 1803 under master builder Olof Jonsson of Granhult, though it was not consecrated until 1820, by Bishop Ludvig Carlsson Mörner. The delay between construction and consecration is unexplained in the surviving record.

The church follows a simple rectangular plan, with the chancel to the east and a tower to the west, where the main entrance is located. An extended sacristy stands east of the chancel. The building rests on a masonry foundation, with exterior walls of white-painted timber panelling. The roof was originally covered with wooden shingles, later replaced with copper sheeting.

A major restoration in 1953-1954 gave the interior much of its present appearance. From this period date the altarpiece, painted by David Ralson and depicting a well-known passage from the Gospel of Matthew, and the pulpit, decorated with figurative paintings by Torsten Hjelm, which replaced an earlier combined altar-and-pulpit arrangement.

Among the church's older furnishings is its great bell, cast in the late twelfth century and recast in 1902, making it by far the oldest object associated with the building and a rare survival from the medieval predecessor church.

The church has had two organs: an 1878 instrument by Carl August Johansson of Broaryd, no longer in use, and the current pneumatic organ built in 1942 by M J & H Lindegren of Gothenburg.
