Gustavsbergs kyrka stands at the heart of Gustavsberg, on Värmdö, built for the workers of the local porcelain factory and their families. Consecrated in 1907, it remains a distinctive piece of industrial and religious heritage in Stockholm's archipelago region.

The church was constructed between 1904 and 1906 to designs by architect Gustaf Améen, and was consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent in 1907. It was built specifically to serve the employees of the Gustavsberg porcelain factory and their households, reflecting the close relationship between industry and community in the area at the time.

The building is in a neo-Gothic style, with a rectangular nave and a narrower, straight-ended chancel to the east. A sacristy is attached to the south-east side of the nave, with the church tower rising above it, while a small porch projects from the western end. A notable detail is that the roof tiles and the grey-yellow brick used in construction were produced at the porcelain factory itself; look closely at the brickwork and you may spot green-glazed sections formed from embedded beer-bottle bases, an unusual and characterful touch tying the building directly to its industrial origins.

Inside, the single-nave interior is covered by a trefoil vault lined with brown-painted boards, while the chancel ceiling has a plastered groin vault. The pulpit, in Art Nouveau style, dates from the same period as the church itself. A triumphal crucifix by conservator Alfred Nilsson was donated to the church in 1943, and the altarpiece, by artist Einar Forseth, was completed in 1944. The present font, carved from hammered granite, dates from 1957.

The church's organ has an interesting history: an original instrument by E A Setterquist & Son was installed in 1907, rebuilt in the 1940s, and eventually replaced by a new organ built in 1979, with a case designed by architect Ulf Oldaeus. A separate, mechanically operated choir organ was added in 1975.
