Gråmanstorps kyrka, near Klippan in Skåne, is said to be the oldest building in the district. Completed around 1160 and dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it was built by Cistercian monks with links to the Lund cathedral works.

The church was raised by monks from Herrevad Abbey working alongside builders from the great cathedral project at Lund. Construction was finished around 1160, and the building was dedicated to the Virgin Mary. In the 15th century a sturdy west tower was added, and the interior was fitted with cross vaults. The tower still holds a medieval mechanism for hanging the bells, a rare survival from that period.

The font, carved from sandstone, is contemporary with the church itself. Its base bears strange carved figures whose meaning still puzzles researchers: some have wondered whether they represent the giant Finn from local legend, or perhaps a demon. The sculptor is unknown and no close parallel to the work has been identified elsewhere, though one source attributes the font to a carver named Donatus and dates it to the 12th century — an attribution not repeated elsewhere in the material reviewed.

Other furnishings reflect later centuries of alteration. A triumphal crucifix from the medieval period was repainted in 1702, and an early 18th-century figure of an angel of judgement also survives. The altarpiece and pulpit date from the second half of the 18th century, while a porch built in the 19th century houses an old church door from the early 1400s. Many fittings entered the church through donations, including gifts associated with the Gyllenstjärna family of nearby Bjärsgård.

The building underwent alterations in the 18th century. Its current organ, installed in 1938 by Mårtenssons Orgelfabrik and later rebuilt by the same firm, replaced an earlier instrument from 1865, whose original keyboard console is still kept in the church.
