The chapel was designed by the architect Fredrik Sundbärg and built between 1897 and 1898, with a recorded renovation in 1992. Its steep, tiled roof and stone construction give it a compact, sheltering presence among the surrounding graves.
Externally, the building is softened by trailing vines that climb across its walls, while decorative wrought-iron weathervanes mark the roofline, adding a modest ornamental touch typical of the period's ecclesiastical architecture.
Inside, the chapel is small, seating around thirty-six people, reflecting its purpose as a place for intimate services rather than large congregational worship. It continues to serve the cemetery it was built for, linking the building closely to its function as a place of mourning and remembrance.
