Dorotea kyrka is the parish church of Dorotea-Risbäcks församling, standing in the small community of Dorotea in Västerbotten. Though its origins go back to the late 18th century, the building seen today largely dates from a 1930s rebuilding after fire destroyed its predecessor.

The parish itself took shape in 1799, when the chapelry of Bergvattnet gained the right to form its own pastorate, named Dorotea in honour of Queen Fredrika Dorotea Vilhelmina, wife of Gustav IV Adolf. A church building was already nearly complete at that time, raised with the help of a local builder and around forty parishioners, and it was later enlarged in 1844 to hold up to 600 worshippers.

That earlier building was destroyed by fire on 17 August 1932. A new timber church was constructed on the old foundations to designs by Evert Milles, and it was consecrated in December 1934. It is rectangular in plan, with whitewashed walls pierced by round-arched windows, a copper-clad gabled roof over the nave, and a tower topped by a lantern with curved roof profiles. A circular porch occupies the tower's ground floor.

Inside, the church has a mirror-vaulted timber ceiling, whitewashed walls and a wooden floor, with a plain rounded arch separating the chancel from the rest of the room. The altarpiece was painted by Torsten Nordberg, and the church also holds two sculptures by Carl Milles, depicting an angel and Paul's meeting with Christ on the road to Damascus.

A particularly striking feature is a sculpture group of the Last Supper by the Norwegian artist Björn Martinius, coloured by Arne Bohman, portraying the moment Jesus identifies his betrayer.

The church's organ history reflects the building's own turbulent past: an 1890 instrument by Christian Schuster of Östersund was lost in the 1932 fire, replaced in 1934 by a new organ whose façade survives today within the current mechanical organ, built in 1968 by Gustaf Hagström's workshop in Härnösand.
