Djurröds kyrka is a small parish church in the village of Djurröd, in Skåne, south of Kristianstad. Its oldest parts date back many centuries, and the building preserves medieval wall paintings, a crypt and several older fittings of interest to visitors.

The church's eastern section is its oldest part, believed to have been built in the 1100s in a basilica-like plan, with a rectangular nave and chancel but no tower. Sources differ slightly on the exact founding date: one account gives around 1200 as the construction date, while local tradition attributes the church's origin to a wealthy and powerful local man. Either way, the building has clearly grown and changed considerably since its earliest form.

In the 1400s the wooden ceiling was replaced with brick cross- and star-vaults, and sawn-off beams from the original timber roof can still be seen above the current vaulting. The church was substantially rebuilt in 1788, when an extension was added to the west, and it underwent its final enlargement in 1852, when the tower was completed — an inscription above the tower portal records this date.

One of the most striking features is a set of medieval wall paintings uncovered during a 1934 restoration, hidden for centuries beneath layers of limewash. They cover the walls above the pulpit and the whole chancel, and are attributed to the painter Nils Håkansson, known as the Vittskövle Master, working around 1460. The paintings depict two royal patron saints associated with the region's Danish-Norwegian past.

During later floor works, a crypt was discovered beneath the church, which had been filled with sand. It is said to contain three coffins: two belonging to members of the Brandt family, while the occupant of the third, an older coffin, remains unidentified.

Among the furnishings, the font is thought to be roughly contemporary with the church itself, though it was damaged during a later renovation; its old base was recovered in 1934 and is kept in the old tower chamber, while the font in use today dates from 1942. The altarpiece and pulpit were both carved in 1705 by the sculptor Petter Norrman, and the hymn number board dates from 1792. The church also has a mid-20th-century organ, built in 1952, which retains the facade of an earlier 1867 instrument.
