The burial ground is bordered to the south and east by trimmed hedges and wire fencing. The main entrance to the burial ground, in the south-west, consists of a section of stone wall with several black-painted iron gates on stone posts. A broad, straight gravel path lined with an avenue of whitebeam trees leads up to the chapel's main entrance in the west. Nearest the church, the avenue is closed off by a few larger deciduous trees. On either side of the path are areas of older, framed graves, entirely enclosed by gravelled surfaces.
