Bosebo kyrka is a 20th-century parish church near Gislaved, standing on a site with a much older Christian history. Built in 1961 to designs by architect Rudolf Hall of Halmstad, it was consecrated in 1962 by Bishop Elis Malmeström, and is the youngest church in its pastorate.

Although the present building is relatively modern, the site itself has a long Christian association, with the earliest written record of a church at Bosebo dating back to 1558. Two earlier churches are known to have stood here before the current one was built, and the porch (vapenhus) contains models representing the church buildings that have occupied the site over the centuries.

According to local legend, the first church at Bosebo was built by a powerful pagan named Bose as penance for a cruel act. One version of the story tells how he tried to drown his servant girl Maja, who had converted to Christianity, by weighting her down with a millstone in the lake — but the stone is said to have turned to a feather, allowing her to swim away as a swan. A different version of the tale has Bose killing the girl with his sword, with a spring said to have risen where her blood fell; this spring, known as Sissle källa, is still marked today a short distance south of the church.

Inside, the church retains a font of gneiss dating from the later 13th century, fitted with a baptismal bowl added in the 1600s, along with a Bible from 1703 associated with Karl XII, and a communion chalice and jug from the early 18th century. These older furnishings connect the present building to the long history of worship on this site, even though the church itself is comparatively young.

The church has had a succession of organs. An 18th-century instrument built by Jonas Solberg of Värnamo was later removed to a museum in Lund, and a 19th-century organ by Johannes Magnusson of Gothenburg followed. The organ installed when the current church was completed in the 1960s was later replaced, with a further instrument built in the 1990s by a Gothenburg organ workshop.

Many furnishings and items from Bosebo's earlier churches are said to be preserved in a small church museum in the parish hall, offering a further link to the site's older history for visitors interested in the story behind the present building.
