Bergum Church is a stone church with origins dating back to the 1200s. The wooden bell tower dates from 1823.
During the 1500s and 1600s, when the church lay in a borderland between Sweden, Norway and Denmark, it was on many occasions badly exposed to hostile attacks, in which fittings were destroyed and the church was used as a stable and storehouse. Over the years many extensions, rebuildings and restorations have taken place. The wall paintings are thought to date from the latter part of the 1600s. The ceiling paintings from 1778 are also a distinctive feature.
Bergum's parish hall was built in the early twentieth century and is located in central Olofstorp.
Size: The church seats 140 people and the parish hall seats 100 people.
