Bärfendal kyrka: The stone-built church in Romanesque style is considered one of the oldest still in use in Bohuslän, erected in the mid-1100s. Here almost no rebuilding has taken place, and this is largely the same church building already referred to by Bishop Eystein in 1391 as Berofiardardals kirkia. The largest change occurred in 1725, when a large part of the south wall was rebuilt and the large windows were opened up. The wooden tower was added as late as 1868, and the sacristy dates from 1932.

The pulpit and gallery were added during the 1600s. On the altar stands a copy of a processional crucifix from the mid-1200s or later. The crucifix is a work in gilded, partly enamelled copper.

The surroundings around the church are also very well preserved.
