Avaskärs kapell is a small burial chapel in Kristianopel parish, on the coast of Blekinge in southern Sweden. It stands on ground with a much older history, marking the site of a vanished medieval town.

The chapel was consecrated in 1934 and serves as a gravkapell, a chapel used primarily for burials and memorial services rather than regular parish worship. It occupies the site once held by Sankt Petri kyrka, the church of the former town of Avaskär, a settlement that has since disappeared.

According to available records, the earlier church at Avaskär dated from the 13th century or possibly earlier. It is thought to have been demolished around 1600, when the nearby town of Kristianopel was founded only a short distance away, effectively superseding Avaskär. Today the old churchyard is said to be the only visible trace remaining of the original town, giving the site a quiet significance for anyone interested in the region's medieval past.

The present chapel was renovated and extended in 1965. Beyond these basic facts, detailed architectural or historical descriptions of the building are not recorded in the sources available for this guide, so visitors should not expect an elaborate structure or extensive decorative features — its interest lies chiefly in its setting and its link to the lost medieval town beneath and around it.
