Asa kyrka is a neoclassical parish church on the northern shore of Asasjön in Kronoberg county, built in the early nineteenth century but incorporating older fabric. It belongs to Lammhults församling within the Diocese of Växjö and stands on a site with a much longer religious history.

A church is thought to have stood here since medieval times, with Asa parish first documented in written sources in 1322. The medieval building burned down, and a stone church completed in 1673 replaced it. As that structure became too small for the growing congregation, it was partly demolished, and the present church was erected in 1806–1807 to designs credited to the architect Per Wilhelm Palmroth, with revisions attributed to Anders A:son Sundström. It was consecrated in 1814 by Bishop Ludvig Mörner.

Parts of the seventeenth-century church survive within today's building, including the sacristy and the north wall of the nave. The church has a stone structure with a rectangular chancel to the east and a west tower topped by a copper-roofed lantern, said to be crowned with a comet-shaped weathervane. An extensive interior renovation in 1984–1985 altered the pews and reduced the seating capacity considerably, and created a devotional room and cloakroom beneath the gallery.

The most striking furnishing is the large altarpiece depicting the Pharisee and the Publican, painted in 1804 by Pehr Hörberg, commissioned by Baron Leijonhufvud. According to one account, the painting's colours had become dulled after being coated in linseed oil, and were restored and revarnished later in the nineteenth century; the altarpiece underwent further restoration in 1985.

Other notable furnishings include a sandstone font said to date from the twelfth century, a large wooden triumphal crucifix from the fourteenth century hanging above the sacristy entrance, and a bronze incense vessel dated to the fifteenth century. The pulpit, built in 1808, is reached by stairs from the sacristy. A small nineteenth-century burial chapel stands just east of the church. The church's organ has origins in an 1879 instrument by Anders Victor Lundahl, replaced by a new mechanical organ built in 1959.
