Ängbykyrkan, in Blackeberg on the edge of Stockholm, serves as its parish's church for children, young people and families, with Sunday services and weekday activities for younger members of the congregation.

Designed by the architect Björn Hedvall, the church was built of brick with a thin whitish-grey render and consecrated in 1959. Its steep roof is covered with grey slate, with an iron cross at each gable. The building is a single-naved hall church without a strongly marked chancel, oriented in the traditional east–west direction.

The stained-glass windows in the chancel and on the south side of the nave were created by the artist Randi Fisher, niece of the architect. The chancel window is worked in shades of blue with bright red sections said to symbolise the wounds of Christ. The copper-clad church doors carry two sculpted copper handles in the shape of fish, made by C-O Avén.

North of the church stands a freestanding concrete bell tower of open construction, topped with an iron weathercock and holding two bells.

Inside, the altar is of red granite with consecration crosses cut into its surface. The altar crucifix, candlesticks and communion silver were made by the silversmith Bertil Berggren Askenström; the crucifix depicts Christ as a triumphant king, with a gold mosaic cross set in a silver frame. The font has a tapering square base and a wide bowl of grey-yellow granite, while the three-sided pulpit is of pine on a low limestone plinth.

The church underwent a major renovation in 1999, when a glazed link was built between the nave and the parish hall, and was reordered again between 2002 and 2005 to adapt the interior for both large and small congregations, including new furnishings such as the altar table, ambo and font.
