Lits kyrka is a parish church in the Häggenås-Lit-Kyrkås parish, standing in the small settlement of Klösta near the Indalsälven river, north-east of Östersund in Jämtland. Completed in 1797, it is notable for its finely preserved interior craftsmanship.

The church was built in 1797 by Simon Geting, a builder from Ångermanland, to designs by Per Hagmansson. Although the building was finished that year, its formal consecration is thought to have taken place a few years later, around the turn of the nineteenth century. The churchyard, by contrast, has a firmly recorded consecration date of All Saints' Day, 5 November 1797, and came into use the following year; before then, burials had taken place beside the old church, close to where the present rectory stands.

The church has undergone several rounds of renovation, most substantially in 1947 and 1971. The 1971 works included a new floor and the restoration of the original colour scheme, intended to return the interior to its appearance from the early 1800s. Further repairs to the roof and façade followed in 1988, with the tower roof and clock renewed in 1999, and a geothermal heating system installed by 2000.

Inside, the altarpiece, pulpit, gallery screen and font angel were all made by the craftsman Jonas Edler of Sundsjö. Behind the altarpiece is a painted architectural backdrop by the artist Jonas Wagenius, depicting columns draped in blue fabric with gilded tassels, supporting an illusionistic vault. The stylistic unity between Edler's carved work and Wagenius's painting suggests the two artists worked closely together.

The church's first organ was built in 1854 by Johan Gustaf Ek, prompting the appointment of the parish's first organist. Found inadequate after later rebuilding, it was replaced in 1962 by a new organ from the Hammarberg workshop in Gothenburg. A small five-stop chamber organ, built in Härnösand by Johannes Menzel, is also part of the church's collection.

Of the two bells, the larger dates from 1903, a recasting by Joh. A. Beckman of Stockholm, while the smaller bell, which once served as the main bell, was cast in 1788 by Carl Jac. Linderberg of Sundsvall. Among the church's textiles are two notable vestments: a black chasuble bequeathed in 1785 by the provost Nicolaus Feltström, bearing his initials, and an older chasuble from 1716 given by a former incumbent, Anders Oldberg, in memory of his family.
