Riseberga kyrka stands beside the Rönne å river in Skåne, some four kilometres east of Ljungbyhed, within the Riseberga-Färingtofta parish of the Diocese of Lund. This modest parish church has medieval roots but has been substantially remodelled over the centuries.

The church is a hall-church design, with a nave and a narrower chancel at the western end, plus a tower. Large round-arched windows light the barrel-vaulted nave, whose ceiling bears decorative paintings by Professor Einar Forseth, added during restoration work in 1937. An altar-pulpit combining both functions stands in the chancel.

The building's origins lie in the medieval period, when it may have served as a chapel while the church at Herrevad Abbey functioned as the parish church. The original nave was rectangular and only around 12 metres long, with a low tower. Alterations at the end of the seventeenth century were followed by the raising of the tower in 1707 to accommodate the church bells. Transepts were added to the north in 1733 and to the south in 1787; tradition holds that stone from the ruins of Herrevad Abbey was used in this work.

A major change came in 1819–1820, when the nave was lengthened to a total of 24 metres and the chancel was relocated from the east end to the west. At its rededication in 1820 the church was dedicated to Crown Prince Oscar (later Oscar I), giving rise to its alternative name, Oscars kyrka.

Among the furnishings is an earlier altarpiece depicting the dead Christ surrounded by weeping women and angels, carved by the sculptor Bokelund of Gumlösa and painted by the artist Wäström in 1780; it now hangs on one of the nave walls rather than at the altar. The current altar-pulpit, in Empire style, dates from 1822 and was designed by the architect Fredrik Blom. Older liturgical items include a christening bowl from 1645 and a communion chalice from 1646, while the font itself, a marbled wooden piece from 1820, was temporarily replaced in 1937 before being reinstated during a 1988 renovation.

The church has had several organs over the centuries, the earliest dating from 1757, with rebuilds and a new instrument installed in the twentieth century. One source notes an unusual aluminium roof fitted in 2013, said to be a rare choice for a Swedish church roof, though this detail is not corroborated elsewhere.
