Två Systrars Kapell (the Chapel of Two Sisters) stands in Norrliden, the northern part of Kalmar, and is a modern addition to the region's long church-building tradition. Consecrated in 1984, it takes its name from the biblical sisters Martha and Mary of Bethany.

The chapel was designed by architect Anders Berglund of Värnamo and consecrated on 25 February 1984 by Bishop Sven Lindegård. Its eight-sided plan and high-set windows echo the coastal defence churches of the Kalmar area, and the design is said to have drawn on the surviving round churches at Hagby and Voxtorp as sources of inspiration.

Inside, the octagonal worship space is compact, seating around 100 people, with an adjoining parish hall for about 60. The shape creates an unusually intimate, inclusive atmosphere for those attending services or events.

The chapel's north wall carries reliefs by the artist Eva Spångberg depicting the two sisters after whom the building is named, along with scenes of the Nativity and the Passion. A large triumphal crucifix with icons, along with a processional crucifix, was created by artist Sven-Bertil Svensson of Mörbylånga, who also designed two octagonal stained-glass windows. One, facing east, is said to glow with the colours of early morning when lit by the rising sun; it carries a short Greek inscription. A limestone font stands at the centre of the room, and the altar to the east is free-standing. A votive ship model of the Kalmar Nyckel, designed by Kari Berglund of Gothenburg, hangs within the church, continuing a tradition found in many Swedish coastal churches.

The bell tower, capped with a pyramid-shaped spire, houses a carillon of 37 bells. The chapel's organ was rebuilt in 1991 by Ålems Orgelverkstad, replacing an earlier instrument from 1978.
