For several decades, parishioners in Täby worked to get a church in Viggbyholm. A parish hall foundation took over Kristinebergs kapell. The chapel became the core of S:t Olofs kyrka, which was designed by architect Evert Milles. The church was consecrated on 16 November 1941 by Archbishop Erling Eidem. The foundation ran operations for nearly six years. On 21 October 1947 Täby församling took over responsibility for the church. Facing each other on the nave wall hang two glass mosaics made in Italy in the 1790s. The motifs are the Annunciation and the Nativity of Jesus. A silver sculpture depicts the Lamb of God – Agnus Dei lying on a book with seven unbroken seals and surrounded by gilded rays.
