A wooden bell tower was erected in 1772 at the western end of the church. In 1801 the church was extended eastwards once again. The mediaeval church porch on the south-western side of the nave was demolished in 1822, and the church then received its main entrance through the tower building. The church has undergone extensive renovations in 1875, when larger and more windows were installed, and in 1953–1954, when the old furnishings were restored and conserved, thereby highlighting the church's older history. The present sacristy to the east was built in 1953–1954 to designs by the architect Figge Wetterqvist. Inside, there are well-preserved ceiling paintings executed in 1777 by Henrik Wibeck of Varberg.
