Ovikens nya kyrka is a red-brick, neo-Gothic church in the village of Oviken, Jämtland, built in the early twentieth century as a replacement for the medieval parish church nearby, before an unusual reversal of fortunes returned worship to the older building.

Construction took place between 1903 and 1905, using designs drawn up in 1895 by the Sundsvall architect Gustaf Hermansson and executed by master builder J. A. Gärdin. The result is a tall brick church in the neo-Gothic style, with buttresses, round-arched friezes and tracery windows giving it a strongly vertical, medieval-inspired silhouette.

The most striking external feature is the sixty-metre west tower, topped by a spire with triangular gables, a ring-cross finial and weathercock. The porch occupies the tower's lower storey.

Inside, the church is laid out as a three-aisled basilica, with side and organ galleries carried on slender columns with decorative capitals. The five-sided chancel is covered by a vaulted, decorated ceiling and lit by five pairs of tall Gothic-style windows separated by columns that heighten the sense of height. Painted ornament runs around the windows and doors, and the open pews have gable-ends typical of the period. The chancel contains a low rood screen and a three-part altar cabinet (triptych).

The new church served as the parish church from its consecration in 1905 until 1935, during which time the older medieval church, Ovikens gamla kyrka, stood unused. Following a substantial restoration, the old church was brought back into use in 1935 and has remained the parish church ever since — apparently because the new building was already seen as old-fashioned by the time it opened. One consequence of its limited use is that the interior of this newer church has remained particularly well preserved.
