Hallaröds kyrka, in the Skåne village of Hallaröd, has its oldest fabric dating back to the 1100s. It is also known as Sankt Olofskyrkan, after a nearby holy spring dedicated to Olav the Holy, one of medieval Scandinavia's most venerated saints.

The church began as a modest Romanesque building of nave, chancel and apse. During the later Middle Ages a powerful defensive tower with thick walls and buttresses was added, along with a porch, and the nave was given vaulting. In 1834 the apse and the medieval vaults were demolished and a north transept (or side aisle, according to differing accounts) was built, forming a larger combined space. The original position of the old apse is still marked with stones set into the ground outside. A restoration in the 1950s, when the nave vaults were rebuilt, aimed to recover something of the church's medieval character.

The church is notable for having wall paintings from three different centuries. Late Gothic paintings in the chancel vault, uncovered in 1913, are thought to date from the late 1400s and depict scenes including the Creation, the Fall, the sacrifice of Isaac, and the expulsion and earthly life of Adam and Eve, rendered simply in red and black with plant ornament. Further, plainer paintings in the vault webs are believed to date from 1597 and are considered among the youngest of their kind in the province. During interior limewashing in 2001, further paintings were discovered throughout the tower room, including a fragment thought to be from the 1700s, part of which has been conserved and left visible.

Among the furnishings is a medieval font decorated with a lily frieze, paired with a 16th-century font bowl bearing an image of the Annunciation. The present altar cabinet incorporates oak figures salvaged from an earlier altarpiece of the 1400s, alongside a separate oak Madonna figure. A depiction of the Last Supper from the 1600s hangs on the north side of the church.

Perhaps the most striking object is the triumphal crucifix, thought to date from the 1200s. It was for some years held by the historical museum in Lund before being returned to its original place in the church in 1985.

The church stands close to the spring associated with Saint Olav, which together with the church formed a focus of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages, drawing visitors from across Scandinavia, with an associated market recorded as having later moved to Hörby in the mid-1700s. One account from 1573 describes crowds so large that Mass had to be celebrated outside on the churchyard slope.
