Ringamåla kyrka stands in the Ringamåla area of Blekinge, built after the local community became its own parish in 1872. This guide draws on parish and encyclopaedic sources to introduce its unusual layout, its history of fire and rebuilding, and a few notable furnishings.

The creation of Ringamåla annex parish by royal decree in March 1872 prompted the need for a church of its own. Although the church takes its name from Ringamåla village, it was actually built at Långeboda a short distance away, since the bedrock at Ringamåla made it unsuitable for a churchyard. The Stockholm architect Gustaf (G.A.) Dahl drew up the plans, and building work began in 1881, with the church completed and consecrated on New Year's Day 1883.

One unusual feature is the church's orientation: rather than the traditional east–west alignment common to most Swedish churches, Ringamåla church runs north–south. On Whit Sunday 1904 a serious fire broke out, destroying much of the building and leaving only the walls standing. Fortunately the original architectural drawings had survived, allowing the church to be faithfully rebuilt in its earlier form by 1905; much of the current interior, including the pulpit with its sounding board and the open pews and organ loft, dates from this rebuilding.

The carved altarpiece is the work of the sculptor Stig Karlsson and was unveiled for the church's centenary in 1983. Its five scenes depict the Creation and the Fall, Noah's Ark, the Nativity, the Crucifixion and the Ascension. A crucifix carved by Lennart Paulsson from a piece of bog oak, said to be several thousand years old and found in a nearby mire, is also among the church's notable furnishings.

The church's pipe organ was built in 1906–1907 by the Örebro firm E. A. Setterquist & Son and is a pneumatic-action instrument, a type now rare in Sweden. It has since been rebuilt and altered more than once, most substantially in 1997. Sources note a curious and well-documented episode in which pipes bearing the 1906 manufacturing date of Motala church's Setterquist organ were later found within the Ringamåla organ, leading to a lengthy legal case; the pipes ultimately remained in place in the instrument.
