The church was built in 1971–1972 to designs by architect Henry Åkesson, who also created the interior fittings. An extension, including a confirmation hall, was added in 1982. The building is a timber construction faced with white marble chippings, and its tall gables are pierced with glazed openings arranged around a large cross at the centre. Inside, the plain, unpainted pine panelling gives the church hall, which seats just over a hundred people, a light and simple character.
A vision process begun in 2007 led to further changes, including a more welcoming entrance area sometimes referred to as a ‘church square’, along with work on the floor, windows and gallery. Building work started in 2008 and the renewed church was reinaugurated at Easter 2009. The solar panels on the roof were commissioned in 2009 as part of this project.
The free-standing altar is of wood, with a silver altar cross bearing a Christ monogram flanked by candlesticks. The five-part altarpiece, depicting scenes from the life of Christ, is the work of the icon painter Erland Forsberg. A hammered silver font bowl is also among the church's furnishings.
The bell hangs in a separate bell tower northwest of the church, standing on a rock outcrop and topped with a tent-shaped, black tiled roof. Cast in 1972, the bell carries an inscription invoking peace over sea, coast and the surrounding land. The church also has a small mechanical organ, built in 1972 by A. Magnusson Orgelbyggeri AB.
