S:ta Gertruds kyrka in Kungsbacka is part of Kungsbacka pastorat. We want to convey a living encounter with God. In our parish, everyone has a place.

S:ta Gertruds kyrka in Kungsbacka is a meeting place where people in different life situations can gather, thanks to the closeness between the church hall, the parish hall and the children's room. The idea of a church in the Hammerö area grew during the 1960s as the population increased. The first spade was put into the ground in January 1987, and the same year Gertrudsgården with its chapel was inaugurated. In 1993 the chapel was given the status of a church and the name S:ta Gertruds kyrka. During the winter of 2003–2004 the front of the building was extended to create a church square and more workrooms.
