Vombs kyrka stands on a hill above the village of Vomb in Skåne, close to Vombsjön lake. Dating from around 1200, it began as a small Romanesque church and was substantially remodelled in the 19th century, giving it the distinctive appearance seen today.

The church was originally built in the 1200s in Romanesque style, with a nave, chancel and apse. Only the nave survives from this earliest structure; the chancel and apse were later replaced. A local legend claims the church once stood beside Bysjön lake, but this is considered unlikely by researchers. Vaulting was added to the ceiling in the 1400s, and traces of medieval wall paintings from both the 1200s and the later 1400s can still be seen in the nave.

The church's present form dates largely from a major rebuilding in 1870–71, carried out to designs by the cathedral architect Helgo Zettervall. This work was extensive: much of the older fabric was demolished or altered, new transepts were added to the eastern part of the nave, and a new chancel was built. Larger windows were inserted, including a round-arched window divided into three sections in the south transept, and the main entrance was relocated to the west side of the tower. The stepped-gable tower seen today was raised on the remains of an earlier tower, built to the same width as the nave, with sound openings visible beneath its gables. A freestanding wooden bell tower is said to have once stood at the church's south side, though it no longer survives.

Among the church's furnishings, the limestone font is contemporary with the original 13th-century building, making it one of the oldest surviving features. A brass christening dish and a pulpit both date from the late 1500s. The gallery front is decorated with twelve carved figures of the apostles, thought to date from either the 1500s or 1600s.

The organ was built in 1870 by Knud Olsen of Copenhagen and is a mechanical instrument, later renovated in 1979. It remains a notable feature of the interior for visitors interested in the church's musical heritage.
