Augerums kyrka stands beside the Lyckebyån river north of Karlskrona, in Blekinge, and serves Lyckå parish within the Church of Sweden. This tall, neoclassical building dates from the early nineteenth century and is best known locally for the eerie flood legend attached to its predecessor.

A medieval church of grey stone once stood on this site, with limewashed walls, a shingled roof and painted interior decoration. It fell into such disrepair that the parish eventually had it demolished. Local legend claims the old church and part of its churchyard were dragged into the river during a violent spring flood, and that its bells still lie on the riverbed, occasionally heard ringing. This story, though never verified, was long used to frighten children attending school events in the church, who were told to sit near the door in case history repeated itself. The small pool in the river below the church, near the old mill and bridge, is still known as Klockegölen, or 'the bell pool', after the tale.

The present church was built between 1819 and 1822 to a design by the architect J. W. Gerss, in a restrained neoclassical style. Unusually for a Swedish church, it is oriented north–south rather than east–west, so the long nave ends in a chancel wall to the south with a sacristy behind it.

In 1862 the exterior was altered with the addition of a tower to the north, designed by Albert Törnqvist, its round-arched sound openings giving it a Romanesque character. The tower is topped by a lantern with pointed, cross-adorned gables and a spire crowned with a ring-cross. Inside, the church has three aisles, with substantial columns supporting a raised, barrel-vaulted central nave.

Among the furnishings, the wooden font dates from 1648, considerably older than the current building, suggesting it was retained from the earlier medieval church. The altar and pulpit, framed by a classically inspired arrangement of columns and a triangular pediment, date from the time of the church's construction, as does the enclosed box-pew seating.

The church has had a succession of organs: an 1860 instrument by Andreas Åbergh, replaced in 1925 by a larger organ from Olof Hammarberg of Gothenburg, and the current instrument built in 1973 by Mårtenssons orgelfabrik in Lund. Several notable Swedish figures are buried in the churchyard, including the naval architect Fredrik Henrik af Chapman.
