Sövde kyrka is a parish church in Sövde, part of Blentarps församling in the Diocese of Lund, southern Skåne. Standing on a promontory in Lake Sövdesjön, it dates back to the 1100s and has grown and changed considerably over the centuries.

The earliest parts of the building are believed to date from the twelfth century, on a site that may previously have held a wooden church. Substantial changes came in the fifteenth century, when a stepped-gable tower was added to the west end, along with a porch (since demolished), a new chancel and apse. The church was also vaulted and extended during this period.

A notable chapter in the church's history began around 1590 with the construction of nearby Sövdeborg castle. Its owners held the right of patronage over the church until this was abolished in 1922. In 1634 a burial chapel was built where the Lange, Thott and Piper families held royal privilege to bury their dead, and further transepts were added to the north (1693) and south (1699). A sacristy was added to the chancel in the nineteenth century.

The churchyard itself has an intriguing local tale attached: it is said that during the Middle Ages, Archbishop Absalon Hvide kept a farmstead on the site, but was so unpopular with the villagers that they drove him off and plundered his property. The surrounding wall, built of fieldstone and brick, dates from 1706.

Among the church's furnishings, the oldest is a limestone font from the twelfth century, plain and elegant in design, decorated with round arches and a rope-moulding frieze, its base carved with four points symbolising the evangelists. A brass christening dish from the sixteenth century bears a relief of the Annunciation together with images of deer. The altarpiece and pulpit, made in 1640 in Renaissance style for the new burial chapel, are richly detailed: the altarpiece's lower section depicts the celebration of the Eucharist flanked by Matthew and Mark, while the upper section shows the Crucifixion flanked by Luke and John, each evangelist accompanied by his traditional symbol. The pulpit depicts scenes from the life of Christ, and in 1703 was fitted with a staircase and door carved by Anders Råå. A seventeenth-century poor box with iron fittings and a sturdy lock also survives.

The church has had several organs over the years, including instruments built in 1783 and 1874, with repairs recorded in the 1830s. The current mechanical organ was built in 1951 by the Frederiksborg Orgelbyggeri of Hillerød, Denmark.
