Kaverös kyrka, in the Järnbrott district of Gothenburg, was inaugurated in 1969 to a design by the Gothenburg architects Torsten Hansson, Per Persson and Sven Jönsson. This modest timber church remains a distinctive local landmark within the parish of Högsbo.

The church was built largely by students from the Centrala Yrkesskolan (a technical training school), with construction partly funded through public collections. It stands on a grassy, tree-lined mound, its form made up of two joined sections, from which the main hall rises with a pent roof that slopes steeply to the west. The exterior is clad in coarse standing timber panelling, giving the building a plain, functional character typical of Swedish church architecture of its period.

Inside, the church is dominated by unpainted, narrow pine panelling on the walls, with dark-stained pine used for the fittings. Large windows on the taller wall provide most of the daylight, giving the interior a notably light and airy feel. The roof structure is supported by so-called Töreboda arches, a construction technique associated with several Swedish churches of the mid-twentieth century. Fixed pews and a table altar set against the end wall complete a simple, coherent interior that has changed little since the church was built.olate.

A short distance northwest of the church stands a slender, freestanding three-legged wooden bell tower carrying two bells, a striking silhouette that has become closely associated with the church's identity.

Among the church's furnishings are two crucifixes: one in ceramic on the chancel wall, made by Agneta Larsen, and another on the east wall, by Bo Lindencrantz. The current organ dates from 2007, replacing an earlier instrument; built by Tostareds Kyrkorgelfabrik, it is notable for its glazed upper section and wall-mounted wooden pipes, an unusual visual feature for visitors interested in church organs.
