Bromma kyrka is Stockholm's oldest building still in use – in 2018 the church's 850th anniversary was celebrated.
The church is filled with tradition and history. It was built in the mid-1100s and consists of eight parts: a round tower, nave, chancel, sacristy, burial chapel, church porch, crypt and chapel. Here you will find medieval murals from the school of Albertus Pictor and a triumphal crucifix.
In the autumn of 2020 a new organ was installed in Bromma kyrka, and in the autumn of 2021 the church gained a new chapel by the church porch, offering the opportunity to light candles and spend a moment in stillness.
