Brastad's parish church stands in the small town of Brastad in Bohuslän, on Sweden's west coast. Built of granite in the late 1870s, it replaced an earlier medieval church, and Brastads kyrka remains a striking landmark of the local granite-quarrying district.

A stone church stood on an earlier site from the medieval period, itself likely preceded by a wooden church, with a stone tower added in 1801. When this older building was demolished, the account of its stone tower's dramatic destruction with dynamite charges has been recorded locally, though such vivid demolition stories should be treated as traditional rather than strictly verified detail.

The present church was built in 1876-1877 about 150 metres from the old site, to designs by the architect Frans Gustaf Abraham Dahl, with Gustaf Andersson of Lanna as master builder. It is constructed of split grey granite with cement-pointed walls, yellow stone window surrounds and a roof of iron and shingle, topped with slate. The building comprises a rectangular nave with a narrower, five-sided chancel to the east, where the sacristy is screened off from the main body of the church. The tower and main entrance stand at the western end.

Inside, the woodwork carries decorative painting attributed to a craftsman named Lugner, working from a workshop near Lidköping: the pews are painted to resemble oak, the ceiling is picked out in yellow and green, and the gallery and pulpit are green with gilded ornament. Two large rune stones from the earlier church are built into the tower walls, a tangible link to the site's older history.

Among the furnishings, the sandstone font dates from the 13th century and is carved with corner masks biting on interlaced bands, though it is damaged and cracked. The altarpiece was made in 1669 by the sculptor Hans Swant, while the octagonal pulpit, with its sounding board, dates from 1876 and bears carved figures including Martin Luther, Ansgar, and the apostles Peter and Paul. The two bells in the tower were recast in 1928 in Ystad, incorporating older bells from 1772 and the early 19th century.

The church's first organ, installed in 1877 by Anders Victor Lundahl of Malmö, was praised at the time for its tonal suitability to the building. The current organ dates from 1984, built by Olof Hammarberg, but reuses pipework from the earlier instrument.
