The church was designed by the architect Torben Grut and consecrated in 1928. It has a timber frame resting on a low plinth of hewn stone, with facades clad in white-painted, vertical wooden panelling that gives the building a crisp, orderly appearance typical of the period.
The steep saddle roof was originally covered with wood shingles, later replaced with sheet metal, a practical change common to many timber churches in the region as maintenance needs evolved over the decades.
The building follows a simple plan: a long nave oriented southwest to northeast, with a lower, narrower porch at the southwest end and a similarly reduced chancel to the northeast, to which a sacristy is attached on the northwest side.
Inside, an eight-sided pulpit with a slender sounding board stands to the left of the church interior. The altarpiece was painted by Gunnar Torhamn, and the current organ dates from 1978.
