Högsjö gamla kyrka is a small white medieval church standing on a hill beside the Högsjö local heritage centre in Härnösand, Västernorrland. It probably dates from the late 14th century and was built from local gneiss, though the exact construction year remains unknown.

Högsjö gamla kyrka consists of a rectangular nave with a straight-ended chancel to the east. Later in the medieval period a porch was added on the south-west side and a sacristy to the north-east, and the interior ceiling was fitted with vaulting.

In 1721, during the Russian raids along the Swedish coast, the church and its bell tower were burned. The building was subsequently reconstructed under the direction of Hans Biskop, and a new bell tower was erected at the same time.

By 1789 the old church had been abandoned in favour of the newly completed Högsjö nya kyrka nearby. Its porch was never rebuilt, and the older sacristy and porch additions were removed. A modest renovation took place in 1904–1906, followed by a further restoration in 1934–1936, giving the church much of its present appearance.

Among the fittings, the pulpit dates from the 18th century and is attributed to Hans Biskop, the same craftsman associated with the church's post-fire rebuilding.

We visited this church on a beautiful day. What an amazing find. Thinking of all the stories that took place here!
