Dalskogs kyrka is one of the small wooden churches found in the forested districts of Dalsland. Dalskogs kyrka is a small wooden church built in 1747-50.

Previously, a wooden church from 1650 stood in Dalskog, probably on the same site. The old church was demolished as it was considered "too low and too cramped" and dilapidated. Whether there had been any even earlier church on the site is not documented but is conceivable.

The church's font dates from the 13th century, and there are unconfirmed reports of a derelict, abandoned church on the site during the 16th century.

Dalskogs kyrka is situated at the southern edge of the community. To the south and west of the church and the surrounding churchyard winds a stream ravine. On the other side of this lies the "new churchyard", established around 1920. The church setting otherwise consists of a slate-clad bell tower, a mortuary, and well-preserved church stables next to the church.

The church's original plan, with a nave and a three-sided chancel, has been preserved since it was built. All the older structural parts are of timber. The walls are clad with a light grey board-and-batten panelling. The walls are pierced by segmental-arched window openings.

The interior of the church is a well-preserved example of provincial Baroque style from the 18th century. Most notable are the ceiling paintings with biblical motifs by the master painter Hans Georg SchŸffner. The floor consists of lye- and soap-treated wooden planks, which in the chancel are painted in a light and dark grey checkered pattern. The walls of exposed timber are painted using a spatter technique in blue and red on a whitish-grey ground. Around the windows there are drapery paintings. There have also been paintings by SchŸffner on the walls, which were later painted over.

The altarpiece and the pulpit belong to the church's older furnishings. The lower part of the altarpiece consists of an oil painting, probably also by SchŸffner. The motif is "Abraham sacrificing Isaac". The pulpit, from 1670, was transferred from the earlier church.
