Länghems kyrka, in the village of Länghem in Tranemo kommun, was built in 1834 in the Karl Johan style. It replaced an earlier church that had stood a few hundred metres away and was probably built in the early 1300s.

The present church was built in 1834–35 by builders from Sandhem parish, on land given by Count Sparre of Torpa, and was consecrated in 1835 by Bishop Carl Fredrik af Wingård. Somewhat curiously, the new building stood unpainted for several years, only receiving its paintwork in 1839. The church has a rectangular nave with many windows, a three-sided chancel to the east, and a tower with a closed lantern to the west. Only the burial vault of the old church survives, standing separately in the churchyard; its chamber dates from the 1610s, with a superstructure added by 1695.

The building has been altered several times, with renovations recorded in 1917, 1949, 1976–77 and 2001, involving new decorative painting, changes to the chancel and font area, re-rendering of the façades, and other internal works.

The altarpiece, painted in 1893 by Bertha Maria Ahlgren, a clergyman's daughter, is a copy of a work by the Danish painter Carl Bloch found in Hörups kyrka in Skåne. The pulpit, with its sounding board, was made by councilman H. C. Datan in Ulricehamn and given to the church in 1715, having stood in the earlier church before being moved here. The oak font in the chancel dates from 1915 and was carved by local joiners, the Claesson brothers of Rosenlund, Fägerhult; it replaced a medieval font of sandstone, carved with figures including a man fighting a centaur, which was transferred to the Swedish History Museum in 1870.

Three bells hang in the tower. The smallest, cast in 1569 by the noted Dutch founder Jacob Waghevens, carries a Latin inscription and figures of saints. The middle bell is thought to date from 1394, the work of another Dutch founder, Jos Leenknecht, though how it came to Länghem is unknown. The largest bell is undated and was recast in 1742.

The gallery organ has a case surviving from an instrument built in 1858 by Johan Nikolaus Söderling of Gothenburg; the pipework was renewed by Lindegrens orgelbyggeri in 1935 and later rebuilt twice by the same firm, with further work in 2005. A smaller organ near the chancel was added in 1977 by Grönlunds orgelbyggeri.
