Väddö kyrka is a large parish church on Väddö, in Norrtälje kommun, standing beside the road between Älmsta and Grisslehamn. It serves Väddö församling within the Diocese of Uppsala and occupies a churchyard with a long history of worship.

A medieval church, thought to date from the 14th century, stood on this churchyard site until 1840. Little is recorded about its appearance, but the site itself has clearly been in continuous use for centuries. During Russian raids on the Swedish coast in 1719, the church's wooden bell tower and the neighbouring rectory were burned; the rectory was later rebuilt between 1782 and 1784.

The old medieval church was demolished between 1840 and 1842, and a new church was built slightly further east, to designs by Johan Adolf Hawerman drawn up in 1839. Unusually, the new building was given a north–south orientation, with the chancel placed to the south rather than the more traditional east end.

Disaster struck again in 1872, when a lightning strike destroyed the church, leaving only the outer walls standing. The building was reconstructed following designs by the architect Frans Lindskog, and it is essentially this rebuilt church that visitors see today.

Several older furnishings survived the fires and rebuilding and give a sense of the site's medieval past. The font's foot, carved from Gotland limestone, dates from around 1300, and was given a new basin in 1949 when it was placed in the chancel. An altar crucifix is said to date from the early 1300s, and a triumphal crucifix from the 1400s hangs above the entrance to the sacristy. Four medieval wooden sculptures are also kept in the church, along with several bronze chandeliers from the 1600s and 1700s.

The church bells tell their own story of destruction and renewal: two bells hanging in the tower originally date from the 1660s, but both needed recasting after the 1872 fire, work carried out by the Stockholm firm Johan A. Beckman & Co. The church's organ has likewise been rebuilt more than once; an 1860s instrument was sold on after the fire, a replacement organ followed in the 1870s, and the current organ dates from 1948, incorporating the façade of its 1874 predecessor.
