Östuna kyrka is a parish church in Östuna, part of Knivsta parish in the Diocese of Uppsala. Standing amid its churchyard near Knivsta, this modest medieval building offers visitors a quiet glimpse into rural Uppland's ecclesiastical history.

The present church is a simple rectangular hall church, thought to have been built towards the end of the fifteenth century on the site of an earlier medieval building. It has a sacristy on the north side and a porch to the south, with vaulted ceilings dating from the same period as the church itself. The interior walls and vaults are whitewashed, and there is no evidence that medieval wall paintings were ever present here.

A freestanding wooden bell tower, built in 1744, stands on a gravel rise to the north-east of the church and houses three bells, the largest of which dates back to medieval times. Near the southern churchyard wall is a medieval lychgate, and to the east of the church stands a small burial chapel erected in 1777.

Several notable furnishings survive from the church's earlier history. The font and a crucifix both date from the thirteenth century and are believed to have come from the original medieval church. On the north wall of the chancel hangs another crucifix, from the late thirteenth century, while a wooden sculpture of the Virgin Mary from the fifteenth century is also displayed there. A triumphal crucifix from the mid-fifteenth century stands before the chancel window; it was conserved in 1920, at which time it received a new cross. In the south-east corner of the chancel is a medieval sacrament cabinet, a reminder of the building's pre-Reformation origins.

The pulpit was supplied in 1718 by the Stockholm sculptor Carl Spaak. Among the textiles kept by the church are a chasuble of pomegranate-patterned velvet with an embroidered cross, dating from around 1500, and another of white silk donated in 1744.

The church's appearance was altered over the centuries: windows were added to the north wall and the exterior rendered in 1858, and a substantial restoration in 1938, led by the architect Ärland Noreen, introduced the current enclosed pew arrangement and reshaped the west gallery. The organ case dates from 1769, though the instrument itself has been rebuilt more than once, most recently in 1991.
