Böja kyrka is the smallest church in Bergs församling, with origins dating back to the 1200s. Located in the village of Böja kyrby in Skövde kommun, it took on much of its present appearance towards the end of the 1600s.

The church began as a modest rectangular nave with a straight-ended chancel to the east, built without a tower; its bells originally hung in a separate free-standing, board-clad belfry southwest of the church. A porch of horizontal timber was added later, and towards the end of the 1600s a tower with a helm-shaped roof and small multi-sided lantern was raised.

The oldest surviving object is the sandstone font, generally attributed to the so-called Johannes group of medieval stonecarvers and dated to the mid-1100s, making it considerably older than the building's present form.

Inside, a wall memorial behind the font commemorates Jonas Nicolai Katt, who died in 1694 after 32 years as assistant vicar of the parish. Wooden carvings on the south wall are thought to survive from an earlier, now-lost altar cabinet.

The altarpiece, carved in 1706, and the pulpit of 1698 are both attributed to the woodcarver Jonas of Låstad. The altarpiece depicts the crucifixion and resurrection, while the colourful Baroque pulpit is decorated with images of Christ and the four evangelists. A small pneumatic organ, built in 1936 by Herman Nordfors & Co of Lidköping, stands on the gallery.
