Brandstorps kyrka is a distinctive wooden church in Habo kommun, Jönköpings län, notable for its cruciform layout and the timber fence that still encloses its churchyard. This guide draws on local and Wikipedia sources to introduce its history and notable features.

The present church was built between 1694 and 1698 by master builder Anders Bengtsson of Jönköping, replacing an earlier medieval timber chapel that had been moved to the site in 1626 and had since fallen into disrepair. The new building was constructed on a foundation of granite and hewn sandstone, and beneath the choir floor a burial chamber was created for the Hård family.

Architecturally the church is built in the form of a Greek cross, with a tower rising above the crossing and arms extending to all four points of the compass. The exterior is clad in red-painted sawn pine shingles, while the roofs are covered with tarred oak shingles. Over the centuries the building saw various changes, including a re-modelling in the 1870s that altered the wall colour and window sizes, but a major restoration in 1923 returned the church largely to its mid-18th-century appearance.

The most striking feature for visitors is the painted ceiling, completed in 1748 by Johan Kinnerus of Jönköping, an artist also associated with the paintings in Habo church. The pulpit, carved and gilded by Johan Ullberg in 1702, includes painted panels depicting Christ and three of the evangelists. The altarpiece, thought to be the work of Johan Ullberg the Younger, dates from 1749, while the carved wooden font was a gift from a local district recorder sometime between 1766 and 1789. A carved crucifix from around 1700 is said by tradition to have come from Nykyrka church, though this origin cannot be independently confirmed.

The church's organ has a complex history: an instrument built in the 1870s was substantially rebuilt in 1944, and the current mechanical organ, built in 2007, retains the older façade from that period.

Outside, the churchyard is enclosed by a timbered log fence made up of over fifty beams of varying length, a type of enclosure now rare in Sweden. A detached wooden bell tower stands a short distance north of the church, housing two bells, one dating from the 17th century and later recast, the other from the early 18th century and later enlarged.
