Glommersträsks Kyrka stands centrally on Storgatan in the village of Glommersträsk, in Arvidsjaur municipality. Though inaugurated as a parish church in 1936, its timber structure is considerably older, reflecting the resourcefulness of the local community who built it decades earlier.

The building began life as a simple prayer house, raised by the villagers themselves in 1890–1891 under the direction of brothers Jonas and Karl Svedberg from Lillpite. It served the community for around forty years before being transformed: in 1936 the structure was moved across the road, enlarged and reconsecrated as a full parish church. During this rebuilding the windows were enlarged, a vaulted timber ceiling was added, and a bell tower was constructed.

The church remained the property of the villagers themselves until 1951, when ownership passed to the parish. Later, in 1968, a parish hall known as Margaretasalen was fitted into the church's lower level, giving the building a continuing role as a community gathering place alongside its religious function.

Architecturally the church is a wooden long-house with a chancel and sacristy to the east and the tower to the west, its exterior clad in yellow-painted standing timber panelling — a modest but characteristic style found across many Norrbotten churches of the period.

Inside, the altarpiece was painted by Gerda Höglund. The organ, built in 1954 by the Grönlund organ workshop, is a two-manual instrument typical of mid-twentieth-century Swedish church organs of its size.

Visitors have long been able to sit quietly inside, light a candle, or simply enjoy the view towards the nearby hill of Vithatten, though current opening arrangements should be checked locally rather than assumed from historical descriptions.
