Eggvena kyrka is a small stone church in the northwest of Herrljunga municipality in Västra Götaland, likely dating from the late 1100s or early 1200s. Set in hilly ground near the Nossan river, it belongs to Herrljungabygdens församling in the Diocese of Skara.

The church's origins lie in the medieval period, and its long survival is suggested by a bronze processional cross from the mid-1100s, which may have been part of the church's furnishings since it was first built. Outside stands a runestone, raised at the church since the 1930s, bearing an inscription commemorating a man remembered as a fine warrior.

The building was altered substantially in the 1700s, when it was extended at both the east and west ends and given its present three-sided chancel. A low timber tower with a weathervane replaced an earlier freestanding bell stage that had stood in the churchyard's southwest corner, and the dividing wall between nave and chancel, the old triumphal arch, was removed at this time. A sacristy was added on the north side in 1850, and further changes followed a restoration in the 1890s, including a new altar.

Several older fittings remain of interest. The altarpiece is a carved wooden work from the 1700s, rediscovered in the church loft and installed in place of a plain cross in the mid-20th century (sources differ slightly on whether this was 1936 or 1950). The sandstone font, decorated with an interlace pattern, dates from the 1200s and was for a time used as the base of the pulpit before being moved back into prominence. The pulpit itself is from the 1600s, with a canopy added in the following century, and the tower holds a bell cast in 1756.

The church underwent a major restoration in the early 1950s after wartime winters caused cracking in the walls, when new pews and a timber floor were installed. A further extensive restoration took place around 2008–2009, during which the timber floor was removed and replaced with stone recreating the original flooring, using natural stone from Kinnekulle; the interior was also repainted at this time.

The organ, built in 1949 by Tostareds Kyrkorgelfabrik, was rebuilt in 1983 by the same firm, which reused pipework and constructed a new mechanical instrument and case.
