Molla kyrka is a small parish church in the Herrljunga area of Västra Götaland, believed to have been built towards the end of the 1100s. Set on a hill above Mollasjön in the Nossan valley, it has been altered and restored several times over the centuries.

The building's stone walls, now covered in white roughcast, conceal a long history of change. Major work in the mid-1700s gave the church its three-sided chancel and probably the north sacristy, while further alterations followed in 1772, 1794, 1835 and 1882. The original south-facing entrance was blocked in 1876 when a new porch was built to the west; the old doorway survives as a niche, now displaying a case of coins found during churchyard excavations.

A 1935 restoration returned the interior to something closer to its eighteenth-century appearance. During the work, conservator Olle Hellström uncovered wall paintings on the long walls, thought to date from the 1600s, showing figures and ornament in a style reminiscent of folk art. A separate painting of the Annunciation, possibly once used as an altarpiece, is believed to date from around 1520.

Among the older furnishings is a seated wooden Madonna carved in oak in the 1200s, and fragments of a late-medieval altar cabinet. A medieval wooden figure, thought to represent John the Baptist holding a lamb, stands in a niche in the chancel's south wall. The font, carved from sandstone in the 1100s, belongs to a small group of related Romanesque fonts named after Molla; its worn animal and figure reliefs are damaged in places.

The altarpiece, a crucifix with flanking figures symbolising Faith and Hope, dates from 1701, and the canopied pulpit from the 1600s carries a carved dove representing the Holy Spirit. A gilded silver bridal crown, acquired in 1743, was made in 1687. The detached bell tower dates from 1709, rebuilt in 1827, and houses two bells, one an unmarked late-medieval casting and the other recast in the eighteenth century. The organ, built in 1928 by Nordfors & Co and largely unaltered since, stands in a case inherited from an earlier 1888 instrument.
