Remmene kyrka is a parish church in Herrljunga kommun, Västra Götaland, built in 1868–1870 on the site of an earlier medieval church that had fallen into disrepair. It replaced a tornless building associated with local pilgrimage traditions.

The present church was constructed in the so-called Karl Johan style, a common 19th-century idiom marked by large gothic-arched windows and a pointed tower topped with a cross-bearing spire. Sources note the building date variously as completed in 1870 or the church as formally consecrated in 1895; both figures appear in the available records. Notably, the building work was carried out entirely by parishioners themselves, rather than by professional builders alone.

A sacristy was added to the east end in 1934, and a substantial restoration in 1963 altered the chancel: the altarpiece and altar rail were moved forward, the pulpit was relocated towards the nave, and a canopy was added above the pulpit. These changes also opened a new entrance to the altar from the north side, and some pews were removed to accommodate the enlarged sacristy.

Among the church's furnishings is a sandstone font decorated with 13th-century ornament, said to have originally stood in the older medieval church. Local tradition holds that the earlier building was a pilgrimage church, the first in the district, drawing worshippers from as far as Lena parish for services and baptisms. The church also preserves a wooden processional crucifix dating from around the mid-1100s and an oak sculpture of an enthroned Madonna from the later 13th century, along with a medieval bronze censer — objects that speak to a much older devotional history than the current building itself.

Outside the church stands a runestone, carved on both sides, which was once used as a doorstep within the church building. Its presence is taken as evidence that Remmene parish is an old settled area. The church also retains a 17th-century pulpit from the earlier building, now kept in the sacristy, and an altarpiece dated 1726.

The church bells include a large, undecorated late-medieval bell of a sturdy standard type, and a smaller bell cast in 1920, donated by parishioners. The current organ, built in 1979, incorporates a case dating from an earlier 1934 instrument.
