Jungs kyrka is a nineteenth-century parish church in the village of Jung, Vara municipality, in Västra Götaland county. It replaced a medieval sandstone church on the same low ridge site, and stands today as a well-preserved example of Swedish Empire-style church architecture.

The medieval predecessor was built of hewn sandstone, probably during the twelfth century, in the Romanesque style typical of the period. By the early nineteenth century the parish considered the old building dark, cramped and narrow, with its vaults and roof in poor repair. Building a replacement was a considerable undertaking, coming as it did during a period of hardship and scarce resources in Sweden, but the parish was determined to proceed. A national collection was organised to help fund the new building, and stone from the old church was reused in its construction.

The present church was completed in 1834 to designs by the architect Fredrik Blom, in the restrained neoclassical Empire style, and its exterior remains largely unaltered. It consists of a broad nave with a small porch on the south side, a tower at the west end, and a three-sided chancel to the east; a lower vestry was added behind the chancel in 1871.

Several fittings were carried over from the old church, including a font dating from the thirteenth century and a pulpit, which was altered before being reinstalled. The porch also preserves grave slabs from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the earliest bearing the date 1690.

The interior has changed considerably since the church was built. Renovation work in 1934 introduced central heating and new pews, followed by electric lighting in 1940. A further refurbishment in 1967 replaced flooring in the porch and aisles, removed some of the rearmost pews, and repaired the exterior rendering; electric heating followed in 1975.

The church also holds two medieval bells, the larger uninscribed and of a late-medieval type, the smaller slightly older and bearing a lettered band naming Jesus in Gothic script alongside a small cross. The organ has been rebuilt and replaced more than once, most recently in 2002, with a case designed to echo the appearance of a much earlier nineteenth-century instrument.
