Långseruds kyrka: Långserud Church enjoys a scenic location on the southern shore of Lake Aspen.

During the Middle Ages, in addition to the church in Långserud, there were two chapels in the parish that were probably abandoned already during the Middle Ages or shortly after the Reformation. The medieval church site in Långserud is still in use today. It is not known with certainty what the church building originally looked like, but it is likely that the medieval section is preserved within the walls of the nave.

The three-sided chancel is probably from the 17th century. In the 18th century the church was extended with two cross-arms, in order to accommodate the rapidly growing population. Somewhat later a free-standing bell tower was erected to replace the very poor condition of the west tower.

During a thorough restoration in 1768, the nave was extended to the west, and a sacristy and church porch were added. New, larger windows were installed, and the church was clad externally with wooden shingles. The church has been altered on several occasions, both externally and internally.

In the restorations carried out during the first half of the 20th century, the main aim was to emphasise the church's 18th-century character. Among the church's furnishings, the font of soapstone is the oldest. It is probably a Norwegian work from the early 13th century. The pulpit, from the mid-17th century, was restored and put back in place following the restoration of 1925.

Wooden church, 17th century, shingle-clad.
