Churches in Sweden (churchesinsweden.com) is owned and maintained by R24k Web-Ateljé, Härnösand, Sweden.
We publish an independent guide to Swedish church buildings, their history and visiting information. We are not an official website of Svenska kyrkan, any diocese, parish or other religious organisation. A listing, link or source credit does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or a partnership.

Information and visits
We aim to provide useful, accurate information, but the site is a developing project. Coverage is incomplete and information may be missing, outdated or incorrect. Some material has been translated or abridged from Swedish sources.
A “Basic listing” contains available location and visiting information. An “English guide” includes editorial writing. Neither label guarantees that every detail has been independently checked. A retrieval or update date is not the same as a visit or verification date.
Check opening hours, accessibility, admission arrangements and other important details with the church or parish before travelling. A building shown on the map is not necessarily open to visitors. Services, private ceremonies, maintenance and seasonal arrangements may affect access. Map locations and route suggestions are approximate and do not establish a right of entry.
When visiting, follow the property’s rules, respect worshippers and private ceremonies, and ask about photography where appropriate.
Sources, copyright and reuse
Rights depend on the material concerned. Please check the credit and licence attached to each page, photograph or other item.
Svenska kyrkan data. Material identified as coming from Svenska kyrkan’s Platser service is supplied under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), subject to the applicable item-level notices and rights. Our English adaptations of that licensed material are also offered under CC BY 4.0. The licence permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial use, with appropriate attribution, a licence link and an indication of changes. Retain the applicable source credits and notices and do not imply endorsement.
Photographs and other third-party material. Photographs, archive images, drawings and other separately credited material may have different licences or permissions. The Platser data licence does not automatically cover them. Follow the terms stated for the individual item.
Maps. Map data includes OpenStreetMap contributors and OpenMapTiles, with the relevant attribution displayed on the map. OpenStreetMap data is subject to its Open Database Licence and attribution requirements. Rights in map data, map styles and displayed images are not necessarily identical.
Our original work. Unless an open licence or other permission is stated, our independently written content, photographs and design remain protected by their applicable rights. You are welcome to link to our pages. Other reuse must be permitted by law, an applicable licence or the relevant rights holder.
Nothing in these terms adds restrictions to rights granted by an applicable open licence or by law. Additional attribution and reuse information appears on individual church pages and our Sources and licences page.
Source limitations
Svenska kyrkan does not guarantee that its Platser information is correct, current, complete across its organisation or continuously available. Licensed source material is supplied as-is and as-available under the applicable licence, including its disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability.
We take reasonable care with the guide but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or the accuracy of every item. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Corrections and contributions
If you find an error, please send us the page address and any supporting source. We review corrections but cannot promise a particular publication date.
Sending a message, photograph or document does not transfer ownership to us or automatically grant us publication rights. Before publishing a contribution, we will agree the intended use, credit and permission or licence with you. Only supply material you are entitled to share, and avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
External links and responsible use
External websites are operated by their respective owners and have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content or availability.
Do not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or deliberately disrupt the website. This does not restrict legitimate reuse of material under its licence or the law.

We may update these terms as the project develops. The date above identifies the current version. Changes do not revoke rights already granted under an applicable open licence. Swedish law applies, without removing any mandatory rights or protections available under other applicable law.
