Västerstrandskyrkan is a modern parish church in the Våxnäs district of Karlstad, built in the late 1970s to designs by the Värmland architect Janne Feldt. It serves as the district church for the western parts of the city's Church of Sweden parish structure.

The church was constructed in 1977 and consecrated in 1978, forming a compact complex that houses not only the church hall but also extensive premises for parish activities, including youth work carried out in a lower floor. Sources differ slightly on the exterior cladding, with one describing yellow facing brick and another facing brick generally, but both agree the building is a coherent, purpose-designed complex serving several parish functions under one roof.

Architecturally, the building is characterised by shallow roof slopes that rise dramatically over the nave, with numerous clerestory lanterns bringing in overhead light. A square-plan worship space sits within the complex, with the altar positioned in a corner rather than centrally, and a load-bearing concrete beam supporting the roof is shaped into the form of a cross. A freestanding square concrete bell tower stands near the main entrance.

Inside, the combination of brick and blue tones is said to create a calm, uplifted atmosphere. The furnishings include both wood and textile artworks: an altarpiece in the form of a wall hanging by AnnaLisa Odelqvist-Cruse depicting the cross as its central motif, and an altar table, pulpit and font designed specifically for the building and made in wood by the Blekhamn joinery in Gamleby. One source notes that the current altar, built in brick in the 1990s to Feldt's own design, replaced the original wooden altar.

The church also contains a mechanical organ built in 1979 by Grönlunds Orgelbyggeri, a detail of interest to organ enthusiasts visiting churches in the Karlstad diocese.
