Dannike kyrka is a small parish church at Dannike in eastern Borås kommun, with origins reaching back to the 1200s. Once part of Länghem and Dannike parishes, it now belongs to Toarps församling within the Diocese of Skara, and holds an unusually rich store of history for its size.

The nave walls date from the 13th century, making them the oldest surviving part of the building. Its most treasured object is older still: a sandstone font attributed to the medieval stonemason Andreas, active in the late 1100s, who is known to have signed similar fonts elsewhere. Local tradition holds that the original congregation died out during the mid-14th-century Black Death, after which the church was supposedly forgotten and overgrown, only to be rediscovered generations later. This is a well-loved story rather than a documented fact, and it is not corroborated by other sources.

The church was extended westward in the 17th century, when the surviving pulpit was built and decorated with paintings of the four evangelists; its sounding board carries a carved dove added in 1951. A major rebuilding in 1909 gave the church much of its present appearance, adding the tower, chancel and sacristy, and moving the pulpit and an old stove from the south to the north side.

The altarpiece dates from 1656 and is said to have come originally from the old church at Länghem, demolished in 1835, reportedly bought by Dannike's parish for a modest sum. For several decades from the 1890s it was replaced by a painting of the Prodigal Son by Berta Ahlgren, daughter of a former vicar, before the older altarpiece was reinstated; the painting now hangs on the north wall. The two chancel windows, added in 1951 and painted by Erik Abrahamsson, depict the Creation and the Holy Spirit, flanking the altarpiece's image of Christ on the cross to represent the three articles of the Christian faith.

In the churchyard stands a detached wooden bell frame from the 1700s, originally sited elsewhere near the entrance and moved to its current position in 1917. It once housed the church bells, but these were transferred to the newly built tower after 1909; the older bell was recast in 1795 and again in 1952, when a smaller bell was also acquired. The current organ, built in 2005–2006 by Sven-Anders Torstensson, stands behind a case retained from an earlier instrument.

A weathered memorial stone beside the road leading to Forsa mill is said to mark the spot where a local vicar was shot, reputedly by a parishioner resentful of his intervention in a domestic dispute. As with the plague legend, this remains an oral tradition attached to the site rather than a verified historical record.
