Mobackens kapell is a small chapel near Tidaholm, in Skara diocese, built in the 1930s so local people could worship closer to home than the parish church allowed. It remains a modest, well-loved building used for baptisms and weddings.

The idea of a chapel at Mobacken took shape in the 1930s, when residents sought a place to hold services without travelling into Tidaholm. Fundraising began with an auction on 21 April 1937, and a chapel association was formed that June to carry the project forward. After a two-year collection effort, the chapel was completed and consecrated in 1939, built to designs by the merchant Evald Gillbrand.

A bell tower was added in 1954, and in 1963 a churchyard beside the chapel was consecrated. The chapel association itself was dissolved in 1968, after which the building passed to the Tidaholm-Agnetorp ecclesiastical union.

The chapel is a modest timber structure with dark-stained standing panelling and a steep, tile-covered gabled roof, with a projecting porch. Inside, the hall-type nave has a recessed barrel vault running through to the east wall, a central aisle and fixed pews, with the altar set against the end wall.

The altarpiece, depicting the Ascension of Christ, was painted and donated by Gillbrand himself. The font, church silver and baptismal candlestick were gifts from various parishioners, while the local needlework guild contributed a green chasuble. A thorough renovation took place in 1974, when a small four-stop organ by the organ builder Walter Thür (also spelled Valter Thür in some sources) was installed.

Seating just 50 people, Mobackens kapell remains a modest but cherished local building, still used today for baptisms and weddings.
